Biography

Dr. Tian Jin received the Bachelor degree in information engineering, and the Master and the Ph.D. degrees in information and communication engineering from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), Changsha, China, in 2002, 2003, and 2007, respectively.

He was a Lecturer from June 2007 to December 2008, and became an Associate Professor from January 2009 with the College of Electronic Science and Engineering of NUDT. He is now a Guest Researcher within the Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems (MS3) group at the Delft University of Technology. His current research interests include radar imaging, automatic target detection, and machine learning.

Dr. Tian Jin has authored/coauthored 2 monographs, over 100 peer-reviewed papers, and 5 patents. His Ph.D. dissertation was awarded as the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China in 2009. He received Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) in 2014. He was Session Chair/Co-chair of the Asia-Pacific Synthetic Aperture Radar Conference 2009 and the CIE International Radar Conference 2011.
